DO I NEED AN ARCHITECT?

Updated: Jan 20, 2019

Well, maybe. But maybe not.

Architects can add a lot of value, and in the long run save you time and money. However, not every project needs that level of professional service. There is never a project that is too small for an architect. There is a type of architect for every type of project. That being said, you may find that having an architect is overkill for some jobs.

The above flow chart is meant to be a helpful guide to understanding when you need or may want a professional architect. You can download a PDF of the chart by clicking HERE.

Architects provide value by truly understanding what does and does not constrain your project, opening up design options that a contractor or an interior designer might overlook. They also provide oversight, in-depth guidance, and detailed documentation through the construction process- which you'll be glad you have if something goes wrong.
